Easy and Smart Ways to Reduce Food Waste

Food that is wasted every day on a global scale can be preserved and used for other people. Some of the suggestions or remedies are as follow

1. Timings of Restaurants

If the timings of the wedding dinners are moved back to 8 pm or 9 pm, the chances of food waste would not occur, as the guests at the dinner would be less hungry.

Moreover, earlier time will make people behave orderly without a mess.

Therefore, during the wedding season, people should be convinced of the dire need to prevent food wastage in hotels.

2. Supply of Surplus Food on Different Places

There is always extra food left in restaurants and hotels after lunch and dinner parties.

These leftovers are directly thrown into the trash without hesitation. Excess food should be saved for people cannot get one-time meal a day.

The main responsibility of the government is to provide a system under which additional food in the restaurants should be transported directly to shelters and places such as slums and orphanages, work on feeding the starving population by eradicating hunger.

The same responsibility lies with hotel owners to perform this task.

3. Changing the Habits of People

The people should be more responsible towards this situation and take it seriously.

People should be kind enough not to let their hungry brother sleep on an empty stomach any night.

This can be done when people will care about others more than about themselves. People should limit their free time for the goodwill of others.

They must have a check and balance in the nearby neighborhood that, if someone nearby is needy or hungry, then provide additional food that stays in our homes.

No food should be thrown in the basket.  A lot of them are waiting for food every time.

Eat as much food as you can eat. Not to fill the plates more than needed.

4. Food Sharing Organizations

Food sharing organizations are those establishments that work with people and give food to hungry and helpless people.

They are run with the help of numerous volunteers who work in it and travel to the place to provide food for the poor.

At the heart of food sharing are the few ambassadors who help coordinate locally with volunteer and organize program, campaigns and meetings in various places.

These organizations also leaf decentralized workshops in schools and panel discussions by holding lectures and readings on food safety, security, sustainability, healthy eating and food waste.

5. Buy Things Efficiently

People should be careful in buying things. They shouldn’t buy anything that would be wasted later.

We should only buy those things that are needed right now. This will help to reduce bills as well as food waste.

6. Storing Extra Food

If there is food left in our house, we shouldn’t throw it in the bucket.

We have to use it again in the next meal. This will help us to avoid food waste at every meal.

7. Meal Planning

We should always cook those foods that all family members can eat.

That way there will be less chance of wastage and food will be saved.

8. Spread the Message Everywhere

We need to make people aware of the effects of food loss.

We should educate people to save food for themselves and for their country.

This message can eliminate the hunger of many poor people around the world.

Conclusion

Food waste is becoming a big issue for the nation, especially for developing countries that are already facing the problems of poverty, hunger and malnutrition.

Food lost in hotels, restaurants, parties, and dinners causes large amounts of food to enter the trash.

Moreover, food waste while food processing is also detrimental to the nation.

Therefore, these patterns should be changed by bringing about changes in yourself.

All of the above medications must be applied in our lives to preserve food for other people.

Food is a basic human right and we must provide it to everyone in globe and continue to do this good work by educating people about the harmful effects of food waste.
